Cape Town Tourism map

It is always great to work on a project close to home and heart, which is why we were especially excited to work with Cape Town Tourism to promote Cape Town, the beautiful city Infestation calls home.

The brief included the creation of a series of maps to promote the different regions of Cape Town, leveraging the existing Cape Town Tourism brand. By using the bright colours and existing rainbow synonymous with Cape Town Tourism’s brand, Cape Town is portrayed as the vibrant, inviting, fun city we know it to be.

Functionality is the main objective and legibility is key, enhanced by easy-to-read text and a clear grid-driven layout. The various colours are used as a navigational device to make the maps user-friendly. Each region is colour coded and a careful balance of bright photographs and white space enhance Cape Town’s viability and provide the reader with all relevant travel information.

These maps are available through all Cape Town Tourism information outlets, at the airport, and other major tourist destinations.
