The Eastern Acoustics re-branding project brought about a challenge for us because traditionally the company has been split in two. We had to find a way to merge the two entities – EA Live and EA Pro Audio – into one cohesive brand where each part would still be able to hold its own identity and meaning.
Eastern Acoustics Live was founded in 1980s, Eastern Acoustics is a Cape Town-based audio-visual company working with international quality equipment and to global standards specialising in both large and small-scale conferences, theatre, concerts and festival. Eastern Acoustics ProAudio is an online store providing customers with high quality audio-visual equipment. ProAudio carries over 40 top local and international brands and has a reputation as the sound expert when it comes to home audio.
Our re-branding objections focused around two concepts. First, to create a new brand for EA Live & Pro Audio that speaks to the company’s vision and values. Second, to create a primary brand platform that is consistent across both companies. From this, we recommended to the client that it would be best to create a monolithic brand, with total uniformity and to let Eastern Acoustics be the lead and main focus, with Live and Pro audio as secondary names.
We came up with a branding strategy that would establish Eastern Acoustics as passionate experts that deliver quality products and services to corporate clients. As you can see from the logo, our branding for Eastern Acoustics also creates a visual association between the company and the great sound equipment that they provide. We created the branding for Eastern Acoustics so that it could be implemented across all platforms, from business cards to their website.
