Green is synonymous with grass, envy and of course, South Africa’s largest investment, life assurance and asset management giant – Old Mutual.

Operating from within the mother ship, Old Mutual Alternative Investments is a niche boutique that is also one of the largest alternative investment managers in Africa, with over R51.4 billion (that’s US$5 billion) assets under management. Pretty impressive, Infestation agreed.

The real reason we were keen to be involved in the communications and brand work with this particular division of Old Mutual though goes deeper than just the figures.

They understand that sustainability is a concept that delivers successfully beyond returns. They focus on finding successful investments and growing their investors’ wealth, while still having a positive impact on the communities in which they invest – doing good business that makes a real difference in the world.

This philosophy sits well with us, and being offered the opportunity to work alongside these visionaries has been a privilege we have thoroughly enjoyed.

More than that, being able to impact and steer some of the strategy and visual communication behind this unique division of Old Mutual and add our own value to the repositioning of their brand has proven that alternative thinking generates excellent returns – both ways!
