It has been our privilege to work with the ‘superstars’ of the South African music and comedy scene for the last 12 years.
It all started over a decade ago in 2001 when we redesigned Bakgat – a record cover that need to change format to a CD cover – for David Kramer. Since then we have designed seven brand new CD and DVD covers for this rooi-veldskoene-wearing legend, and numerous posters for his world-renowned musicals like District 6, Kat and the Kings, Karoo Kitaar Blues and Ghoema. The combination of award-winning musical talent and inspired design ideas have ensured sell out shows and programmes that sell like hotcakes.
The Kramers believed in our talent enough to introduce us to their friend and colleague, Marc Lottering, and since then we have designed numerous successful DVD covers and show posters for him too.
A couple of years ago we were privileged to meet and work with Nik Rabinowitz, the white, Xhosa-speaking Jewish comedian from Cape Town, on his show, Unik. Most of us at Infestation have been fans of Nik (and his alter-egos) for years so it was a real treat to work with him. We have helped Nik build his visual brand since 2009, as well as designed many of his funky show posters as well as his website.
Working with these talented gentlemen is an exciting, challenging and welcome balance to much of the corporate work we focus on.
